Mobile Microcinema Challenge
February 10th, 2005 posted by jessica
VIDFEST and ZeD launch the Mobile Microcinema Challenge.
Attention Videomakers and Animators: Create a super-short video or animation for the mobile phone platform and your art will be in the palm of every cell phone user’s hand.
We’re offering a grand prize of 500 bucks! Plus the opportunity to have your micro-video premiere at VIDFEST in June.
Submission Guidelines:
:: Submissions can be video or animation.
:: Your micro-masterpiece must be under 45 seconds in length.
:: You can use standard digital video consumer camcorders, desktop editing software, and/or creative software (After Effects, Photoshop, ImageReady, Flash, etc.)
:: Videos should suit the small screen it will eventually play on (1-2 inch screens!), so no sweeping pans and no wide shots.
:: Videos must be able to tell a quick story… a really short and effective punch line, not character-based.
DEADLINE: Upload your micro-screen videos to http://zed.cbc.ca/vidfest by April 1st.
